Aprox is free to download and use. You can connect any number of Proxmox VE clusters and Backup Servers, browse every resource, watch live metrics and tasks, and start, stop and restart guests and nodes without paying. Aprox Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks everything that changes your infrastructure beyond power actions: consoles, configuration editing, snapshots and backups, storage management, alerts, the watch app and more. It also removes the promotions shown on the free plan.

Where to find it

  • iPhone, iPad and Android: Sidebar › Settings › Aprox Pro.
  • Mac: Aprox › Settings… (⌘,) › Aprox Pro.
  • Anywhere: tap a locked feature. The Aprox Pro screen opens and explains the feature you reached for.

The names in bold are the feature names you see on the Aprox Pro screen.

Note

Starting, shutting down, rebooting and stopping guests, and restarting, shutting down and waking nodes, are free on every platform.

How locked features look

On the free plan, Pro features stay visible so you know they exist:

  • Buttons and tabs carry a lock icon.
  • Menu items end in (Pro).
  • Screens you can browse but not change show a Read-only banner with Unlock.
  • The Console tab shows a placeholder with Unlock with Aprox Pro.

Tapping any of them opens the Aprox Pro screen.

Plans

Plan Type
Yearly Subscription, renews every year. The highlighted plan.
Monthly Subscription, renews every month.
Lifetime One-time purchase, shown under Or buy it once: "One payment, yours forever — no subscription, best value if you plan to keep using Aprox."

New subscribers to the yearly or monthly plan may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. The store shows whether it applies before you confirm. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app.

Buy Aprox Pro

  1. Open the Aprox Pro screen: Settings › Upgrade to Aprox Pro, or tap any locked feature.
  2. Read the feature list under "Unlock the full Proxmox toolkit."
  3. Choose a subscription plan, or the lifetime purchase under Or buy it once.
  4. Confirm the purchase with the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Tap Done. Every Pro feature is unlocked at once, and the promotions disappear.

Settings › Aprox Pro › Plan now shows Aprox Pro — Yearly, Aprox Pro — Monthly or Aprox Pro — Lifetime. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, Renews shows the renewal date of a subscription.

Which devices it covers

  • App Store: one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. Aprox Pro also supports Family Sharing.
  • Google Play: a purchase covers your Android devices with the same Google account. It is separate from the App Store; a purchase in one store does not unlock the other.
  • Watch: the watch app has no purchase of its own. It uses Aprox Pro from the phone it is paired with. Without Pro, Apple Watch says "Unlock it in Aprox on your iPhone."; on Wear OS, Unlock on phone opens the Aprox Pro screen on your phone. See Watch app.

Restore a purchase

If you reinstall Aprox or set up a new device:

  1. Open Settings › Aprox Pro.
  2. Tap Restore Purchases (Android: Restore purchases). The same button is on the Aprox Pro screen.
  3. Aprox checks your purchases with the store and confirms "Aprox Pro restored."

If you bought the lifetime unlock of an earlier version of Aprox, it is still honored.

Manage or cancel a subscription

  1. Open Settings › Aprox Pro.
  2. Tap Manage Subscription. It is shown while you have a subscription.
  3. Your store's subscription management opens: the App Store's subscription settings on iPhone, iPad and Mac, Google Play subscriptions on Android.
  4. Change or cancel the plan there.

When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Good to know

  • Aprox reads your purchase from the store's record on the device, so Pro works offline. It checks again every time you return to the app.
  • The demo has no Pro exemption. On the free plan, Pro features are locked in the demo too.
  • Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are linked on the Aprox Pro screen and in Settings.
