If something in Aprox does not work as described, or you have a question this wiki does not answer, get in touch. You can report an issue on GitHub straight from the app, or write us an e-mail. Support is available on every plan.
Where to find it
- In the app: Settings › Diagnostics › Report an Issue (Mac: Aprox › Settings… › Diagnostics).
- GitHub issues: https://github.com/mKenfenheuer/aproxapp/issues
- E-mail: aprox@ksol.it
- Website: https://www.aproxapp.de/
Before you write, check Troubleshooting and the FAQ. Many messages explain their own fix.
Report an issue from the app
This is the quickest way, because the diagnostics report comes along automatically.
- Reproduce the problem, if you can, without quitting Aprox afterwards.
- Open Settings › Diagnostics.
- Tap or click Report an Issue.
- GitHub opens with a new issue and the report filled in. On iPhone, iPad and Mac the full report is also on the clipboard; paste it if the report in the issue looks cut off.
- Give the issue a short title, describe the problem (see below) and submit it.
You need a GitHub account to open an issue. Issues on GitHub are public, so do not paste anything you want to keep private.
Write an e-mail
- Create a diagnostics report: Settings › Diagnostics › Collect Diagnostics › Share Diagnostics (Mac: Copy Diagnostics). See Diagnostics report.
- Send it to aprox@ksol.it, either through the share sheet or pasted into your e-mail.
- Describe the problem in the same message.
E-mail is the better choice for anything you do not want to discuss in public, such as questions about a purchase.
What to include
The more precise the description, the faster we can help. Please include:
- What you did, step by step. For example: "Opened
plex, went to the Hardware tab, changed the memory and saved." - What you expected, and what happened instead.
- The exact message, including the text under Details from the server if there is one. A screenshot helps.
- Your device and system, for example "iPhone, iOS 26.1" or "Pixel 9, Android 16". The diagnostics report contains this too.
- Your Proxmox version, for example Proxmox VE 9.0 or Proxmox Backup Server 4.0, and whether it is a cluster or a single node.
- How you sign in: password or API token, and whether two-factor authentication is on.
- Whether it happens every time, and whether it also happens in the built-in demo.
- The diagnostics report. It contains no hostnames, usernames or credentials.
Warning
Never send passwords, API token secrets or two-factor recovery codes, neither by e-mail nor on GitHub.
