Every server in the sidebar has a context menu for managing the connection: you can change its address, account or certificate settings, sign out, or remove it from the device. None of these actions change anything on the Proxmox server itself.
Where to find it
Long-press the server's row in the sidebar (iPhone, iPad, Android), or right-click it (Mac).
| Action | iPhone, iPad, Mac | Android |
|---|---|---|
| Edit the server | Edit | Edit Server |
| Reload its data | — (pull down to refresh instead) | Refresh |
| Sign out | Logout | Log Out |
| Remove it | Delete | Remove Server |
On a signed-in Proxmox VE server, the same menu also offers Create VM and Create Container (Aprox Pro). See Create a virtual machine and Create a container.
Edit a server
- Long-press or right-click the server and choose Edit (Android: Edit Server).
- Change what you need. Every field from Add a Proxmox VE server is available:
- Type, Name (optional), Host and Port;
- Method, Realm and Username;
- Password and Save password to Keychain, or Token name and Token secret (unchanged);
- under Security: Trusted certificate with Forget trusted certificate, or Skip TLS validation.
- Tap Save.
If you change how Aprox connects (host, port, method, user, realm or certificate settings), Aprox uses the new settings from the next connection on. You may need to sign in again.
To keep a stored token secret, leave Token secret (unchanged) empty. Enter a value only to replace it.
Sign out
- Long-press or right-click a signed-in server.
- Choose Logout (Android: Log Out).
Aprox ends the session and collapses the server in the sidebar. The server and its saved credentials stay on the device. With a saved password or token, Aprox signs in again the next time you open the server or start the app.
To stop Aprox from signing in by itself, edit the server and turn off Save password to Keychain.
Remove a server
- Long-press or right-click the server.
- Choose Delete (Android: Remove Server).
- On Android, confirm Remove …?. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, the server is removed at once without a confirmation.
Removing a server deletes it from this device, together with its saved password or token secret. Nothing changes on the Proxmox server. To use it again, add it again.
Note
Removing a server on one device does not affect your other devices. Each device keeps its own list of servers.
What's New after an update
On the first launch after an update, Aprox shows a What's New sheet that lists what changed, grouped by date, newest first.
- Read the entries. Scroll to see earlier changes; the sheet always contains the full history.
- Tap Continue to close it.
The sheet appears only when there is something you have not seen yet. A fresh install does not show it. You can read the same list any time in What's new.
